Know your rights

Had an accident? Know your legal rights

Following an accident, it's your legal right to have your car repaired anywhere of your choice. If you contact your insurance company, they may try to get the repairs done at the lowest possible price without caring as much about the quality of the repair as you do.

Your insurers 'recommended repairer' may not have manufacturer approval or hold a Kitemark approval.

At Motor Bodies Widnes, we will help and guide you through the process of getting your vehicle repaired with the minimum of fuss and inconvenience.

Quite often repairs can be carried out for less than your insurance excess so it makes sense to have a quote for the repairs and you may be able to pay for them yourself and keep your no claims discount on your policy intact.

Make Motor Bodies your first choice of contact after an accident, we will take complete control of your claim for you, from arranging to have your vehicle recovered if non drivable, to liaising with your insurer and arrange a replacement car so you are kept on the road. We can also put you in touch with our legal team should the accident not be your fault to ensure you are not disadvantaged in any way.

Make absolutely certain that if you drive a vehicle brand that we have specific manufacturers approval for that you have it repaired at Motor Bodies Widnes safely to manufacturers standards using genuine parts, paint and only repaired by technicians who have specific brand expertise. Do not leave this to chance, it is your safety, your passengers safety and your asset, look after it.
